Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a surgical procedure of the eye wherein the surface of the cornea is reshaped using an excimer laser. One can choose to have eye bags reduced alongside as well giving a smooth look to the eye region.

About the treatment

Photo Refractive Keratotomy (PRK) is known as the precedessor of LASIK. It minimises the use of glasses and contact lenses in people with vision problems like poor near vision or poor distance vision. The cornea is shaped and thus the focussing power of the eye is improved. This procedure is apt for those whose cannot have LASIK surgery such as those who have pre-medical eye conditions like dry eyes and a thin cornea, and whose work involves physical activity that can dislodge the corneal cap.
