Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant method in which the doctor extracts the follicular units of hair, from the donor area of your head, one by one. This means no linear scars, no covering of the head and one can design one's hairline and even choose the hairstyle one wants.

About the treatment

FUE Hair Transplant or Follicular Unit Extraction is a popular form of Hair Transplant wherein individual hair follicles are taken (or harvested) from a person’s hair-bearing area (called a donor site) and then replanted (or grafted) into the balding area of the scalp. The FUE Hair Transplant is minimally invasive and gives long-term results with natural looking hair of the person itself. As a hair restoration technique, an FUE Hair Transplant gives results that are more natural than hair plugs, taupe, wigs, et al.

I have a bald patch on

I have a bald patch on the back of my head due to regular pattern baldness. I have tried PRP and I'd say while the quality of hair and its overall denseness increased, I didnt feel satisfied with the baby hair that covered my big bald spot. So I opted for a hair trasplant. They took hair from my back of the head for this. My head was numb so I couldnt really feel the pain although I was given some medicines later. So far I am satisfied, though I wish I had taken steps sooner.

I lost my hair after a hair weaving experiment. My hair was thin and the frontline was going bald. So I had a hair transplant as I was told that I had irreversible hair damage. Now none ca see my scalp and the frontline is covered too.

I used to pull my hair

I used to pull my hair whenever I was tense while studying. The result was hair loss. The doctors called it traction hairloss. When rogaine, creams, lotions, gels, oils all failed, I went in for a FUE hair transplant. It wasn’t really pinful and I am glad to have the front of my head covered up again.

the joke was that I had

the joke was that I had a braod forehead that extended upto the top of the head. I balded early like my father and grandfather. I decided to get FUE hair transplant. A total of 4500 ggrafts were done of which some 3000 were for the front and the rest were on the top of the head. The doctors said that I might need more grafts in the future as I continued to bald.
