Eyelid Surgery, also known as Blepharoplasty, is popularly called the eyelid lift surgery, targets the excessive sagging skin around the eyes by tightening or removing it. It gives a refreshed look and gives a smoother under-eye along with a youthful look by significantly improving droopy eyelids. It can also create a crease under the eye and is sought after by East Asians to make their eyes look wider and more open. Blepharoplasty is of two types – Upper and Lower. Upper Eyelid Surgery removes the fat and excess skin from the upper eyelid to make it appear tighter and give it a renewed aspect. Lower Eyelid Surgery targets the bags and dark circles under the eyes. A client usually requires surgery only on the upper eyelid or the lower eyelid but both the surgeries can be performed together too.
