In this surgical treatment a silicone implant is used, but the physician may suggest goretex and medpor for a better result. The entire surgical procedure is done under local anesthesia. Again, there is another possible option for making changes to chin’s appearance, called sliding genioplasty. Scars from the surgery are undetectable once healed and the look and feel isvery similar to the natural chin bone.
